Meg Wilson
As an early entrant into the then-emerging field of technology development, transfer, and commercialization, Meg Wilson spent the early part of her career in the computer industry and went on to teach at the graduate level. She describes herself as "just a teacher" and asserts that she and husband Fred are just "normal people." Still she wisely invested in order to enjoy a comfortable retirement. What Meg and Fred learned in conversations with their financial advisor was how easy it would be to support their favorite charities in a meaningful way through their Individual Retirement Accounts.
Meg became involved with TPPF after learning about the foundation from a staff member who served on the Texas Lyceum board with her. She arranged for a monthly recurring gift that would allow her to become a Visionary and selected TPPF to benefit from her 401(k) while crafting her estate plans. "It makes me feel good that I’m supporting such an effective organization, and I encourage others—whether they’re regular folks like Fred and me or blessed with great means—to consider a legacy commitment to the Texas Public Policy Foundation."
