Robert and Captain Nancy Bruce
When Nancy met Bob in 1980 at the Texas Flying Club in San Antonio, he was an emerging business entrepreneur and student pilot; she was working as a flight instructor. She went on to become only the 4th female pilot at Southwest Airlines and is enjoying her 33rd year in command of a Southwest cockpit. Against many odds, Bob founded UAR Productions and United Audio Recording, a national award-winning advertising group. Together, they founded and operate the Boerne Stage Airfield, a privately owned, public use general aviation airport offering a flight school, large hangar space, and a fleet of nine aircraft.
As entrepreneurs and employers, the Bruce's also share beliefs in individual liberty, free enterprise, and personal responsibility. They were introduced to the Foundation by a TPPF founder and soon became Visionary donors and, subsequently, Lone Star Legacy Society members. Bob observes, "TPPF's work is too important to risk losing, and that is why Nancy and I decided to join the Lone Star Legacy Society. We encourage anyone who shares these views also to help TPPF in this way."
